“At start up of my car the driver side airbag would say service required, but it would go away when we buckled up. When in a week it started to stay on. It no longer goes away. Also now y when I shut off my car the radio will stay on even when you open the drivers side door and lock it. I have to manually shut it off.”

“I was at a stop light and a SUV came from the other side spun passed me and then her rear hit me head on- causing 12,000 worth of damage--my concern is the air bags in my 3wk old 2006 chevy Impala did not deploy I was told that the sensors were just missed and I should be happy cause I could of been injured more than what had happened. Also my onstar was not activated-- I called them.”

“While driving to school a 95 ford f-250 slammed into a 03 pontiac vibe which in turn swerved into my lane, causing me to hit the vibe head on at 40 MPH. No airbags were deployed in my vehicle and my 06 Impala was a total loss. I suffered injuries to my arm and head.”

NHTSA complaint #10225714, filed 2008-04, 46,146 miles

“There is a loud tapping noise when you turn the A/C temp knob or try and change the air flow. The noise sounds like it comes from the passenger airbag area. The noise started when we bought the car on march 16,2010 but it only sound when we would change the air flow button. But today on september 8,2011 it started to make a faster louder tapping in the same place but this time in addition to the air flow bottom now its triggered by the A/C temperature knob. The noise is embarrassing as we as annoying!”
