“I went to your web site to check out all recalls on my 1995 chev. S10, I been having problems with my windshield wiper/washer for about a couple of years and never recieved a recall on this problem so I contacted Chevrolet about this problem and they refuse to fix this ploblem on my 95 S10.”

NHTSA complaint #10007734, filed 2003-02, 80,000 miles

“Consumer stated that they have the same problem as recall#98v150001 windshield wiper. Dealer will not repair because VIN# was not included. The wipers were intermittent. The cruise had gone out when the wiper/washer was erratic. The problem has not been repaired due to the cost. The consumer used rain x to help the wipers.”

NHTSA complaint #10018120, filed 2003-05, 127,000 miles

“While driving windshield wiper failed when in use. Took vehicle to dealership. Mechanic implied a recall 98v150001 on make/model, and year was issued, but this vehicle was not included due to VIN. The first failure occurred six months after purchase and has been failing for 8 years. Wipers have been replaced numerous times and the consumer has been informed there was no failure. Consumer would like his vehicle added to the recall.”

NHTSA complaint #10044752, filed 2003-12, 70,000 miles

“Intermittently windshield wipers became inoperable, obstructing the driver's view. A recall was issued on similar makes and models of 1995. However, this vehicle was not included due to VIN.”

NHTSA complaint #10079719, filed 2004-07, 125,000 miles

“On numerous occasions my windshield wipers have failed to operate, causing a major safety concern. Most of the time they simply fail to work, and if they do work it isn't long until they quit. This acts exactly as described in NHTSA campaign id number: 98v15000 and 01. The dealer recently said that the recall doesn't apply to my truck.”
