NHTSA complaint #11405973, filed 2021-04, 56,000 miles

“Driving down hill at 25 MPH and all of a sudden I lost control of my power steering. Fortunately I was able to stop just before hitting an embankment. The repair requires a complete electrical assist component. Quote of $1,750.00 on august 2017 I received a recall for the eps assist. The software was completed by kendall chevy in august of that year.”

NHTSA complaint #11389485, filed 2021-01, 70,000 miles

“I got a stabilitrak failure chime and message with a reduced steering assist message and I lost my power assist for a second then it came back. I was fortunate that it was just myself in the truck going slow and pulling into a parking lot. I'd hate to think of my wife behind the wheel going down the freeway with my grand kids inside.”

NHTSA complaint #11348415, filed 2020-08, 105,000 miles

“I am having issues with my 2914 silverado losing power steering and turning off when I place the car in reverse to back into a parking spot. The truck has also cut off randomly when turning the steering wheel in a parking lot. The issue is not constant thus hard to diagnose. I have taken the truck to chevy twice and the mechanics were not able to recreate the issue.”
