“There was an electrical burning smell in the cabin of the truck and then the radio stopped working. I called the dealership who confirmed that they had issues with previous models and newer models as well but said my 2017 silverado lt was not included in the fix. I took it in and asked them to see if there were any error codes and I was told no error codes everything was clear. There were no warnings no lights nothing just the burning smell. I spoke with another gentleman who has a 2018 silverado lt and said his radio goes on and off and the screen is unresponsive. …”

There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who diagnosed the screen display malfunction as a phantom touch and informed the contact that the display screen needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 64,500.”
