“The contact owns a 2008 Chevrolet SILVERADO 1500. While attempting to change one of the tires, the contact noticed that the jack did not fit where the instruction manual indicated it was to fit. The contact stated that the piece of metal on the jack as suggested by the owners manual, was too large for the placement location on the frame of the vehicle. The vehicle was not inspected or repaired for the failure. The failure and current mileage was 13,000.”

The mechanical jack that was equipped with the vehicle cannot be used as instructed in the operation manual. It poses a great danger if attempted to be used manually. The contact went to the dealer for instructions and they provided alternative locations to place the jack in addition to how it should be used. The contact disagrees with the instructions and cannot use the jack in the recommended manner. …”
