“Engine light keeps returning after dealer visits for oil change. Exhaust heat shield rattles since day one of ownership. During Normal commute, when I accelerate reduced power comes on and doesn’t allow me to accelerate much. Engine Electrical System, including the Charging and Starting System. Checked battery, alternator, and starter”

NHTSA complaint #11719791, filed 2026-02

“On our road trip back home driving on the highway using the adaptive cruise control set to the speed limit and it’s night. Clear night and no traffic or rain. The truck applied brakes hard and dropped about 12 miles per hour. Another hour later same thing happened. I was fortunate to avoid the car behind me. There was nothing on the road ahead of me.”

NHTSA complaint #11602844, filed 2024-07

“The left front turn signal becomes inoperable at times. The foreword collision indicator warning will come on unprovoked at times. Both conditions correct when you cycle the ignition switch. I consider the turn signal problem a safety issue because it happens with no warning and oncoming traffic may not know I am turning left or changing lanes. When the foreword indicator appears, I doubt the system is operable.”

NHTSA complaint #11751296, filed 2026-07

“The adaptive cruse control will apply the brakes driving, it happens when driving and there is nothing in my lane as far as the eye can see. Sometimes the Silverado will go from 70 mph to 30-40 or less and back to 70. Most of the time it will apply the brakes for a sec and then off. One time it locked up the brakes from the low 60 ish MPH to almost stoped before I could get control. Every time this happens there is no cars, or abstractions in my lane. …”

NHTSA complaint #11724058, filed 2026-03

“The Forward Collision Light Glitched out and I had to reset the fuse to get it back. The orange light stayed on until I fixed . The truck is only 3 years old and only has 017314 miles on it.”
