“I pulled off the interstate after traveling 70mph with cruise control on. I then pulled into the Walmart parking lot and started to enter a parking spot rolling at 5mph and accidentally brushed the resume cruise control and the truck shot me forward and I came within inches of the car ahead of me because the truck suddenly started accelerating.”

NHTSA complaint #11772858, filed 2026-10

“My truck had a check engine light come on for the transmission 2 months ago and then it went off before it was serviced. They said they couldn’t do anything since the light went off. Then last week I didn’t have reverse and it wouldn’t shift into gear. A week after it had been in the shop they told me the transmission valve body needs to be replaced. Expected date for parts to arrive is 3-10.”

NHTSA complaint #11644789, filed 2025-02

“Purchased June 3,2024 Feb 3/2025: serial data gateway module recall. All indicator lights on, ac control and radio inoperable, instrument panel displays various issues. That recall was serviced. February 28/2025: couldn’t see how fast I was going, don’t know how much gas I had. …”

NHTSA complaint #11728616, filed 2026-04

“On 7 or 8 occasions while navigating parking lots/driveway turnaround, i bumped the resume switch on the steering wheel and the truck took off accelerating rapidly from 2-4 mph speed until I disengaged with the brake. Someone with slower reactions or unaware of what is going on is going to get hurt by this. I believe it's tied to collision avoidance system and the adaptive cruise control mode. This system will allow cruise to stay engaged even as it slows you to a halt in, e.g. …”

NHTSA complaint #11667879, filed 2025-06

“The cluster that makes my dash gauges visible has failed and malfunctioning. The safety concern is that I cannot see my speed, my tire pressure, mileage, and I will not be able to see if there are other issues wrong with my vehicle since the entire dash gauges are not visible. The system is not resetting while driving and I lose power when it does that. I have to guess when to put gas or put the risk of myself and other drivers of my vehicle stalling out in the middle of a highway. …”
