“Rear back up camera and front camera only work intermittently. This is concerning when backing up in congested areas such as busy parking lots and backing out of driveways. The dealership has been made aware of the issue, but I have not had time to take the truck in to get assessed. The only warning I get is a blank screen with a ‘X’ and a camera icon.”

NHTSA complaint #11591480, filed 2024-05

“The interior of the 2024 Chevy Silverado is trimmed in chrome accent pieces. These trim pieces reflect the sunlight directly into the drivers' eyes while operating the vehicle causing blinding reflections. I have had 2 near miss collisions because the reflection from the trim pieces blinded me momentarily.”

NHTSA complaint #11606821, filed 2024-08

“Tailgate opened on its own while driving down the interstate. Since then, anytime I open a door or use the drivers door to unlock the truck, the tailgate drops. The button on the tailgate does not open it, I have to use the FOB. I frequently carry construction materials in the bed, the tailgate dropping on its own with can put others at risk for serious injury or even death. No warning lamps, have not brought to the dealer, there is a recall for this issue, but my VIN doesn't match”

NHTSA complaint #11738625, filed 2026-05

“The all around vehicle camera system fails on average every 6 months. As the dealership is far away in our area, I have to take a 1/2 day to full day off work to take it over. I believe we are now on the third replacement camera module, in need of a fourth that was just replaced less than two months ago. GM makes it unreasonable to deal with. They require you drive over to the dealership just so they can see the same problem is occuring and only then will order parts, requiring a second appointment. …”

NHTSA complaint #11743244, filed 2026-06

“I am writing to report a serious safety concern involving my 2024 Chevrolet Silverado that resulted in a child being locked inside the vehicle with the key fob present inside the car. On March 25 2026, after parking and turning off the vehicle, I exited the driver’s seat with my key fob inside my purse, which remained in the front of the vehicle. I then walked around to remove my daughter from the back seat. During that time, she climbed into the front seat and pressed the interior door lock button, locking all doors. …”
