“On 09/10/13, 1:45 pm, I was driving east on s.r. 73 near I-75 intersection. As I approached the intersection traveling approximately 35 MPH, the light changed to yellow. I braked somewhat hard and the brake pedal went to the floor board. There was no braking control at all and I proceeded through the red signal. Approximately 500 feet after going through the intersection I managed to stop in the median. Fortunately, although traffic was heavy, no contact occurred. Immediate inspection revealed a brake line rusted through. …”

“2003 chevy silverado - I have been having trouble with the speedometer fluctuating and oil pressure gauge going all the way up and all the way down. I did some research and found that chevy had a special policy which intels this special coverage covers the condition described above for a period of 7 years or 70,000 miles (110,000 km), whichever occurs first, from the date the vehicle was originally placed in service, regardless of ownership . I have done lots of research and there is a problem with the instrument panel cluster gauge needle function in a lot of chevy's. …”

NHTSA complaint #10419444, filed 2011-08, 90,000 miles

“2003 chevy silverado - poor steering- I have replaced the gearing box w/front end alignment due to having 4 estimates and advised that the gear box was defected. 6 months later - I have been advised by several certified mechanics that the gear box that was put in is also defected. Poor steering control, truck pulls all over the road which could result in a crash. If the steering boxes for this year/make vehicles are defected, why not compensate the owners for all the expenses. It is obvious that these parts for this year vehicle is in fact defected. …”

NHTSA complaint #10281208, filed 2009-08, 78,000 miles

“When brakes are applied at temperatures <32 degrees and pavement is wet or snowcovered, ice build-up stops the brakes from working. I have had too many close calls going through red lights or almost rear-ending other vehicles.”

NHTSA complaint #10583670, filed 2014-04, 136,660 miles

“Dt: the contact stated after starting the engine, the anti-lock brake warning light illuminated. The dealer and manufacturer were alerted. The dealer discovered a mouse had stripped through the insulation and chewed through the wires under the fuse box. Updated 01/10/07.”
