“Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that while attempting to register the vehicle, it was discovered that there was a mileage discrepancy. The vehicle was a dealer sale. At the time of purchase, the vehicle mileage was 55,305 and at the time of registration, it was discovered that the mileage was 88,822.”

NHTSA complaint #11672692, filed 2025-07, 88,822 miles

“Driving down the freeway and it began raining. The wipers worked and then they just stopped working and it was pouring in the rain. I had to pull over because I couldn’t see. This has happened two other times. In having my vehicle inspected it showed no problem with the switch or wiper motor. The infotainment system also frequently locks up and restarts even after the recall was fixed.”

NHTSA complaint #11729144, filed 2026-04

“The radio volume turned all the way up on its own and would not turn down. The control screen would not work, radio power dial would not work. Steering wheel volume buttons would not work. I could turn the dial down, but it turns back up as quickly as it goes down. This caused me to panic and almost crash as I was on a major highway and there was no place for me to pull over.”

NHTSA complaint #11555779, filed 2023-11

“On May 9th, 2025 we had to have our 2022 Tahoe towed to the local dealership. There was a transmission error message and the battery was completely drained. The dealer put a new battery in it for $485 and we were told it was good to go. The next day, the car would not go into Reverse. Had to have it towed back to the dealership and was told that the Transmission failure was a recalled part and would be covered. …”

NHTSA complaint #11661011, filed 2025-05

“Tahoe will not start nor will it allow to be jumped by another vechicle. Tahoe is kept in garage this is the 4th time this has happened. Dealer replaced the battery first time saying that was the culprit, second time they could not find a root cause, and same for third time. I see this is a common problem with engine, battery and electrical of the 2022 tahoe. I do not feel safe in it knowing this could cut off on me driving down the interstate.”
