“On two occasions my car shut down after hard braking while approaching stopped traffic on a freeway. The Chevy dealer has not been able to locate a cause. In both cases I was in the travel lanes when the vehicle shut down and fortunately I was not struck from the rear. It took me time to recognize that the car was dead, place it into Park, then recrank it.”
NHTSA complaint #11709351, filed 2026-01“Sunroof exploded for no reason and no prior issues while driving on the interstate. It sounded like a gun went off and glass fell on me. Luckily I was able to keep control of the vehicle with the shock.”
NHTSA complaint #11771339, filed 2026-10“Tahoe will not start nor will it allow to be jumped by another vechicle. Tahoe is kept in garage this is the 4th time this has happened. Dealer replaced the battery first time saying that was the culprit, second time they could not find a root cause, and same for third time. I see this is a common problem with engine, battery and electrical of the 2022 tahoe. I do not feel safe in it knowing this could cut off on me driving down the interstate.”
NHTSA complaint #11529986, filed 2023-07“Onstar module is not working. I contacted Onstar and they stated to get repair I would need to continue paying for the service. Safety features are now not working due to this issue”
NHTSA complaint #11690768, filed 2025-10“The vehicle has stalled three times since I bought it a week ago. I will be driving and the engine will stall, putting the vehicle into neutral gear. The dashboard will then instruct me to press the power button, and when I do the vehicle restarts and will be in park. It has happened once while driving on the interstate and twice while making turns into oncoming traffic. When I go to accelerate there will be no acceleration, the vehicle will just be in neutral with no warning.”
