“As i was driving down the road at approximately 40-45mph the sunroof spontaneously exploded. Sounded like a shotgun going off. Fortunately i had the sun shade shut but still tiny glass shards came in and fell on my child and the entire interior in the mid section of vehicle. There was no vehicle in front of me, it was night time with temps in mid 70’s no reason it should've exploded outward as if a gun shot from inside of vehicle which also implies nothing hit glass. …”
NHTSA complaint #11735530, filed 2026-05“Was driving to dinner with my wife and 2 kids and we heard a loud sound like a shot gun went off. After pulling into a parking lot we a hole in the moon roof and the glass push outward like it exploded.”
NHTSA complaint #11756208, filed 2026-08“A GM software update removed the ability to seek radio stations using the steering-wheel controls, forcing me to use the center infotainment screen for a routine task that previously could be done without looking away from the road. Since this change, I have experienced unintended lane deviation while trying to change stations. I reported the issue to GM, but they only documented the complaint and provided no corrective action. I am asking NHTSA to evaluate whether this software change creates an unreasonable driver-distraction safety risk.”
NHTSA complaint #11757280, filed 2026-08“Pulled into a pharmacy, vehicle died and completely shut off while driving. 3400 miles, towed to dealership, March 5, 2026. Still no answer from dealership for why this happened and no loaner vehicle yet because they cannot confirm it's a warranty issue”
