NHTSA complaint #11768276, filed 2026-10

“The engine randomly shut off while driving down the interstate and wouldn’t start back up. The car had the recall “remedy” done to it. Inspection and thicker oil. The only warning I got was to restart the engine after it shut off. My safety was compromised by breaking down on a main interstate coming through Memphis with no emergency lane to pull over in.”

NHTSA complaint #11733812, filed 2026-04

“1 week and 1 day later we are stranded again on the side of highway going full speed in our Tahoe. We took it to two different certified Chevy dealerships and they gave us a vague resolution and this issusr is not fixed at all. Our engine is locking up on us at full speed on the highway. This vehicle has 83,000 miles on it and we’ve maintained this vehicle very well.”

NHTSA complaint #11762588, filed 2026-09

“We were driving full speed down the highway and the vehicle completely shut down steering wheel locked and we were stranded for six hours. Turns out the dealer said it was just the battery and they fixed the grounding of the battery. I’m sorry but I’m not satisfied with this response. I’m scared to drive this vehicle.”

NHTSA complaint #11761638, filed 2026-09

“Chevy Tahoe with 6.2 V-8 engine started making noise. Started rattling. Taken to dealership where I bought it. Oil changed found metal in the oil engine making all sorts of noise. Diagnosed to engine failure. New engine is ordered . It’s been 2 weeks and I am number 5 In order for engine replacement at the dealership”
