“I have a 2003 chevy Trailblazer and it started to have the smell of gas and a dip from the fuel tank. I was wondering if this was a fix that would be covered by general motors. I have only owned this vehicle a year and live on a very limited income. I love this vehicle and do not want to have to part with it but I need a vehicle to go to doctors and hospitals for medical issues. Please help in getting this fixed.”
NHTSA complaint #10695487, filed 2015-03, 180,000 miles“I noticed that there was a gas odor coming from the bottom of my SUV, and when I checked I found that there was a gas leak in the gas line that goes from the gas filter to the engine, and I also found out that two of those lines were stuck to each other. The one that had the leak was touching the chassis, so that when it vibrated it collided constantly with it. That's what caused the leak.”

After I, and my mechanic inspected the vehicle, we found that the gas tank was cracked and leaking. I had to replace the faulty gas tank, for an expensive fee. I called chevy, and to sum it up, I was left to work this problem out on my own, with no financial help from GM.”
