“My 2006 trail blazer has approx. 60,000 miles. I have had to replace an injector. The heater fan motor is now not working and the fuel level sensor does not work, the lighter does not work and keeps blowing fuses if you try to use it. I have replaced both brake lights as well.”

“I recently had my 06 chevy Trailblazer towed to the GM garage due to it having an engine failure while my wife was driving it. Diagnoses is a broken valve spring in cylinder #1. Repairs costs $752. Gm is not willing to help me with the repairs due to it is out of warranty. Car only has 56,000 miles on it and to have a valve spring snap in half while under normal driving conditions is ridiculous and a huge safety concern. Looking for something to be done about this since no one from GM seems to care.”

NHTSA complaint #10268288, filed 2009-05, 56,000 miles

“I have had many many problems with my 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer most recently the transmission is bad, I had started complaining to the dealer about the transmission slipping at around 8,000 miles, the truck now has 17,000 miles on it. The dealer refuses to repair it under my warranty. The dealer will not cover the repair. The dealer told me I had to pay out of pocket. I was informed of this on 5/4/2007. I have had many many repairs done on this vehicle, something is not right. …”

NHTSA complaint #10189860, filed 2007-05, 8,000 miles

“When I did a routine fill up on my vehicle and upon restarting the car after completion, the fuel gauge showed empty and the low fuel light came on. I turned the vehicle off and then turned it back on and it still showed low fuel. As I was driving the vehicle home, I noticed the check engine light came on. After driving the vehicle for about 20 miles or so, the fuel gauge showed correctly and the check engine light went off. However, upon the next fill up, it did the same thing. Now, it is at the point that it doesn't register the gas in the vehicle at all. …”

NHTSA complaint #10409608, filed 2011-06, 100,891 miles

“My son and husband purchased a used 2006 chevy Trailblazer ss on nov 4, 2008. They purchased an extended warranty with zurich. On feb 14, 2009 the engine blew up. No warning lights came on notifying the driver of any problems with the motor. Zurich asked for the mechanic to rebuild the motor, now the motor still is not running properly and they refuse to pay the mechanic or order a new motor. They want him to take it apart again. I am wondering if more owners have had problems with this motor-ls2 427. Could you please investigate this as a third party? …”
