“I came to a stop - 3 other cars in front of me. I was driving a 2003 town & country van. Was hit in the rear by a pick up truck going around 40-45 miles per hour. When he hit my drivers seat went back and broke. I was then thrown forward thru my seat belt and uptowards the windshield. He he me again (car jerked and I went back) seat broke - air bag never deployed. Have severe neck problems - torn disk in lower back - pain all down the right side of my body constantly - never sleep - seen doctors waiting for injections. If that doesn't work next step is surgery. …”

“2003 town & country seatbelt harness breaks off from side of the car without any car impact. Car was parked.had there been a forceful impact, I think driver would have been thrown through the windshield. Inside portion of plastic piece that houses the screw that is screwed into the side has hairline cracks.”

NHTSA complaint #10353796, filed 2010-09, 69,000 miles

“Dt: the seat belts began shredding. Both belts in the front and the one in the third seat on the left. The owner has been in contact with dealer but not Chrysler. The seat belts have been like this for a month. Owner was putting tape on the seat belts to keep them together. The owner called Chrysler also. Dealership said that the seat belt were not covered by a warranty.”

NHTSA complaint #10125892, filed 2005-08, 38,000 miles

“I was stopped at a stop sign. I proceeded into an intersection and the pass front corner of my van was impacted. The force of the crash caused me, as driver, to come out of my seatbelt and I was thrown out the door which opened during the crash despite being locked. I was thrown to the pavement and injured.”

NHTSA complaint #10098513, filed 2004-11

“On 2 different occassions (in the two months we have owned this van) my 10 year old daughters seatbelt has come unfastened. I had no idea there was a problem with the Chrysler Town And Country seatbelts in the back passenger section until I saw a report on tv about it. I would not have purchased this vehicle if I had known about this problem. Note: your section that asks me to include the model of van will not let me put Town And Country -- it just lets me put sprinter 2500 whatever that is... (changed to Town And Country via consumer's voq description on 12/9/04. Cat)”
