“2013 Chrysler Town And Country touring randomly shuts off while driving. It's happened 3 times in a parking lot, 1 time in my driveway in reverse, and one time on the highway traveling at 55+ MPH. I lose power steering, power brakes, and probably more. If I put the vehicle in neutral and turn the key it has fired back up.”

NHTSA complaint #11173015, filed 2019-01, 96,000 miles

“My vehicle shuts down randomly. I can be going 55mph, 45 MPH, 35mph, 25mph, 10mph, at a stop light, as well as turning, it has happened during any and all of those. No turn signals, power steering, brakes. Been happening months. 1 dealer and 2 mechanics cannot find any issue. Occured 7 times today in a 3 mile round trip.”

NHTSA complaint #11252175, filed 2019-08, 90,000 miles

“Not sure the problem, but when the push button start is used it sometimes wont start even though it is trying to turn over. Checking the internet I see lots of people are saying its the new computer board. This could be a problem if I have my wife out on a trip and the board or whatever it is fails. Also could be a fire hazard if its fuel related.”

NHTSA complaint #10937202, filed 2016-12, 39,000 miles

“While accelerating car shakes and does not accelerate properly. Engine light flashes and dings and then stays on. Mechanic says #2 cylinder head failure. Chrysler not including our particular vehicle in the extended warranty for the exact same problem (I.e. #2 cylinder head failure). This typically occurred when attempting to accelerate from a stop but would happen during highway driving as well”

NHTSA complaint #11090401, filed 2018-04, 89,000 miles

“Van will shut off while driving between the speeds of 20 to 40. No warnings or signs just stops running. We have had the van scanned and no codes or issues the tech had us replace the batter but the issue is still occurring and with more research on the web this is a common problem with no solution. This is happened multiple times and is very dangerous. We purchased the van used and there seems to be no recalls for it.”
