“I had to have the cylinder head replaces on my t & c pentastar 3.6 v-6 engine. In researching this I see that it is a limited number of cars but the t&c is not mentioned. I am reporting this because perhaps it is a much larger number of engines and there has been no recall. For individuals who have the issue and end up out of warranty will the dealer still honor the warranty.”

NHTSA complaint #10543472, filed 2013-09, 28,750 miles

“Van would not start from it's parking place at a car wash. Message came up accessory or ignition on . I had it towed to an auto repair shop. Diagnosed as failure of the tipm (total integrated power module). This shut down all power to the vehicle including fuel pump, computer, steering, engine, and whatever else. Good thing it was parked when it failed, for had I been driving I would not have had any control of the vehicle, according to the mechanic.”

NHTSA complaint #10979866, filed 2017-04, 115,955 miles

“My van started to have problems with the RPM, surging from 2 to 5 and then to 6 or 7 RPM with speeds ranging from 40mph to 65 MPH. The van also sort of stalls for seconds which makes it terrifying. We took the van to bob caldwell in columbus ohio three times to repair the issue and they updated the software, added fluid to the transmission and allegedly drove the car for 60 miles yet couldn't duplicate the issue. All the times that this has happened the car was running. …”

NHTSA complaint #11042024, filed 2017-11, 97,000 miles

“Check engine light is on and I tested it with my car and it showed 2 codes p0792 (intermediate shaft speed sensor a circuit range/performance) and p0734 (gear 4 incorrect ratio). We have also been told that the brakes need replacing and it only has 47,668 miles on the vehicle.”

NHTSA complaint #10523014, filed 2013-07, 47,668 miles

“While driving my vehicle on the highway at an estimated speed of 60 MPH, for no reason at all, various warning/indicator lights started to flash (not all in unison) and the odometer speed indicator (digital numbers) went up & down as the car seemed to be stalling/missing. For a second it seemed to right itself then the engine completely shut down losing all power - electrical (all), power steering, power brakes, etc. And we were forced to coast to a stop in the breakdown lane. …”
