“My tipm is failing slowly. My starter is pulling way to many amps when starting. I've changed it twice. My fuel relay has failed. A lot of the times when I start my car I have an icon for my ABS sensor come on and the only way to get it off is to pull over and restart my car. When the light is on on my dash. My car won't drive over 60mph and my rpms will run high and when you let off the gas while it's doing this it will take you almost to a stop within seconds. My check engine light never goes off. And no matter how many times it gets tested and reset it comes back within hours. …”
NHTSA complaint #11413888, filed 2021-04, 90,000 miles“As we were driving at about 30 MPH the van started to accelerate on its own. It revved up to 70 MPH then to 50 then to 20 then back up to 70. We couldn't control the speed with gas pedal or the brake pedal. We were just gliding. I told my wife to put it into nuetral and tap on brake pedal till we finally slowed down. We then turned van off and let it sit. We then called are mechanics as we just had a transmission flush done. Of course they found nothing wrong with it because it wasn't doing it for them. …”
NHTSA complaint #10789888, filed 2015-11, 91,000 miles“Van lunges after being at a complete stop before you push the gas. Cruise control unstable, revs very high and stays that was until vehicle is stopped. Dealer says this is normal.”
NHTSA complaint #10457749, filed 2012-05, 4,000 miles“The ABS light, Traction light, and Brake light all come on and simultaneously. I've been told that the ABS Module is bad and needs to be replaced. The fact that the module needs to be replaced concerns me since there are prior recalls for ABS Module with other Dodge, Ram, and Chrsyler makes and models.”
NHTSA complaint #11547859, filed 2023-10“I have a 2011 Chrysler Town And Country. As of today I have had the vehicle under 3 years and have had to replace the alternator 3 times, 3 new batteries, the master cylinder and break booster was replaced, multiple sensors, my ABS and traction control never functions correctly. This is all because of the tipm that is malfunctioning and you cant get one of these because they are back ordered. And when you call the dealer ship or Chrysler they tell you there is nothing they can do.”
