“On november 16, 2016 I was driving my wife's 2012 Chrysler town & country back from school on the nj parkway using the cruise control function. As I approached the back of a slower moving semi-truck I pushed the off button for the cruise control as I had normally done in the past. The van did not stop its speed. I pressed the brakes which is another way that the cruise control turns off, that did not work either. …”

NHTSA complaint #10994939, filed 2017-06, 67,000 miles

“I will be driving the van and it will randomly shut off it only dose it at low speeds at like 20 -40 but I lose power steering everything until I put it in neutral and start it again.”

NHTSA complaint #11328434, filed 2020-06, 138,000 miles

“I was traveling this saturday on the highway. The cruise control was set at 72 miles per hour. The car was in a severe downpour. I disengaged the cruise control with the brake pedal and reduced my speed to 45 miles per hour. Visibility was limited. I was looking for an exit to pull over and wait until the thunderstorm had passed. Since I was not using the cruise control, I pressed the stop button. Then I pressed the on/off button. The cruise control light on the dash did not disappear. In was concentrating on driving, staying in the lane and away from other traffic. The downpour was intense. …”

NHTSA complaint #11103778, filed 2018-06, 62,000 miles

“1 week after I bought my van the car started vibrating when the vehicle was stopped (waiting at the light). I went to the dealer to ask them if there was a recall for this problem they first say that there was no problem and then I read that there was a recall for some vehicles having debris on the engines, so they replaced half of the heads in the engine. The vehicle stopped vibrating, but then I notice that when speeding or slowing down the vehicle does not responds to the change in gears or isn?t accelerating like it should. …”

NHTSA complaint #10595362, filed 2014-06, 32,000 miles

“Upon accelerating from a green light, the rpms jumped as if I pushed the peddle to the floor. As soon as I touch the accelerator this happened so I let go of the peddle and the RPM continued to rise and the car continued to accelerate. I slammed the breaks and for a few moments I was using the breaks to fight the acceleration of the vehicle. After about 20 seconds of this accelerating the problem stopped on its own and I could take over control again. This same thing happened again on november 15th and on this day it occurred multiple times.”
