“The Town And Country van that we own continues to have multiple issues with intermittent stalling and various speeds. The van usually has problems most after refilling with gasoline. This problem has been happening for a few months and continues despite efforts to remedy the problem. I feel this is a safety issue that needs to be addressed by Chrysler and the NHTSA to avoid a major casualty incident since these vans are having documented problems at all speeds including highway driving at 70 plus MPH. …”

NHTSA complaint #10713870, filed 2015-04, 127,000 miles

“My 2002 Town And Country had to have a new transmission in 11/12. In june of this year, my speedometer quit working causing the transmission to shift hard. I took it to the transmission guy who replaced the speed sensor. It worked fine for a couple of weeks. Then my battery light came on suddenly. I had my battery checked and they said it was fine. They said I might need a new alternator. So I had a new alternator put in. The car did ok for about a couple of weeks, then the speedometer started jumping erratically. I took back to my transmission guy who said the speed sensor was fine. …”

NHTSA complaint #10484568, filed 2012-11, 170,000 miles

“Air bag light remained illuminated while driving, and cruise control worked intermittently. Dealer was notified and informed consumer that vehicle was not covered under the clock spring recall.”

NHTSA complaint #10101345, filed 2004-11, 83,500 miles

“When slowly pulling into a parking space (my foot was on the brake) with approximately two to one foot to complete this action, there was a tremendous surge of energy that drove the car forward into a building leaving a hole in the brick wall and broken windows. The air bags were released, but the bag on the driver's side got stuck in the steering wheel. Usaa is my insurance company, and they trashed the car because the replacement of the bags was too expensive. ....(?) fortunately, this didn't happen on the highway.”
