“We we're driving home from bishop on the highway at night, when all of a sudden the van wouldn't shift to 3 gear. It wouldn't go past 40 miles per hour. Every time we tried to accelerate the RPM's would go past the red section (about section 8 or 9). It was driving fine around 65 miles per hour prior, when all of a sudden it wouldn't continue accelerating at that speed anymore. We pulled over trying to switch gears to see if it would go back to normal, but that didn't work and we also tried turning off the car and nothing worked. We pulled up at a gas station for more gas. …”

“Takata recall ... I bought 2016 Chrysler town & country touring couple of months back & it's have 27,500 miles on it. Since I start driving this car it's having an issue with shifting the gears. The RPM goes up to 4000 to 5000 RPM & then it's start shifting the gears also when I drive the car on highway and put car on cruise control the RPM stays near by 3000 to 4000rpm. When I press the accelerator it's never take quick pick it's always take long time for pick the speed and the engine or transmission make some heavy noise. …”

NHTSA complaint #10946550, filed 2017-01, 27,500 miles

“My steering controls do not work. The steering wheel controls dont work and cruise control does not work. The controls for the speedometer for digital use do not work. There is only 36000 miles on the car and the part to fix is unavailable. The question is why no recall when u cant order the part so obviously everyone is having an issue and this not working could have prevented 2 accidents that have occurred had the horn worked like it should.”

NHTSA complaint #11286888, filed 2019-12, 31,000 miles

“Vehicle has had repeated issues with acceleration and shifting gears since purchase. Vehicle will not accelerate over 40 MPH while driving and rpms redline. It has been in for repair for over 40 days since march 2016 and is currently at dealership. Most recently the vehicle lost all power, including ability to steer and brake properly, after being in reverse backing out of my driveway. During the last two incidents, no warning lights have illuminated, nor have there been any fault codes found in the vehicle's system. …”

NHTSA complaint #10933787, filed 2016-12, 13,000 miles

“1. Engine runs but when I shift into reverse, drive etc. Car does not move. When I took it to be looked at, they said that my transmission doesn't have pressure. There was no indicator lights on the dash or any reason for me to think anything was wrong until I went out to drive my kids to school and it wouldn't move. Available for inspection on request.”
