“The brake power booster has failed. The part is on back order and the dealer says they have 83 on backorder ahead of me and no estimated time to have the part in stock to be able to fix it. Because there is not an active recall on this, I am forced to continue to drive a vehicle without power brakes and apparently a lot of others.”

NHTSA complaint #11253691, filed 2019-09, 77,000 miles

“On august 15, 2017, while driving up a highway incline, the vehicle lost power, power steering and power brakes. I was approaching a stop light about an eigth mile away so I allowed the vehicle to coast, forceably steering it through a slight curve and then braking. When I stopped, I put the gear selector into park and then restarted the vehicle. I called my local Chrysler dealer the next morning. They stated that because there was no check engine light and unless it happened again while they were driving it they would be unable to know what had occurred or what was wrong. …”

NHTSA complaint #11047478, filed 2017-11, 15,000 miles

“The hill holder brake feature disengages when the driver door is opened. The car was on an incline facing up at a stand still. Do not know if the same will happen in the rear seat where children may jump out thinking the car is stopped and secure.”

NHTSA complaint #11131723, filed 2018-09, 24,000 miles

“The contact owns a 2016 Chrysler Town and Country. The contact stated that while the vehicle was in reverse(R), the vehicle stalled, and the power steering became inoperable. Additionally, the failure recurred while making right or left turns at various speeds. The contact depressed the brake pedal, shifted to park(P) and restarted the vehicle after each failure. The failure recurred intermittently. The check engine, power steering, and the ABS warning lights and other unknown warning lights were illuminated. …”

NHTSA complaint #11734780, filed 2026-04, 125,002 miles

“My wife had just gotten on the interstate and had accelerated to ~75 mph. Then without warning, the steering system locked up making it hard to navigate. Both the gas pedal and breaking system went off line as well. Luckily, there wasn't any vehicles in the immediate vicinity. She was able to allow the vehicle to coast to a stop as she wrestled with the steering wheel to try and get the vehicle to the side of the road. As the vehicle was slowing down (to around 25 mph), the speedometer indicated that she was at 100+ mph. This could have been devastating in most situation. …”
