“I usually have my van in the garage. I went to a friend's and kept it outside. The weather was -20 degrees, and when I was driving home on a highway and I lost my brakes. The model I have has a recall for the exact thing. So how do I find out about this recall?”

“I have a 2005 Chrysler town&country minivan with $32k miles. I am looking at my second brake job. This is my 3rd minivan - the two I owned previously brakes lasted 50k miles or more!!!!!!! Is this just a way for Chrysler repair shops to make more money???? Ps I have no idea what the equipment description is for the brakes made by Chrysler - I just know they stink!!!”

NHTSA complaint #10323886, filed 2010-04, 32,000 miles

“I pushed on brake pedal and it went to the floor. Found that the brake line going to passenger side front caliper was worn thru as if something had been rubbing it. The pressure from me pushing on the pedal caused the brake line to burst at the place that it was rubbed thru. I purchased a new brake line at a local auto parts store and had to replace all the fluid in the resevoir because it all leaked out through the hole.”

“I have a 2005 Chrysler Town And Country it started with my locks stopping working I disconnected it and than it worked for a couple of weeks than it would go out again. Now my ABS and traction control light came on and quit working for a week now the light went out and works I tried the battery thing again but did not work. I'm afraid the computer may stop working when diving. I only have 48,000 miles on it.”

NHTSA complaint #10312476, filed 2010-02, 30,000 miles

“Abs and traction control failure. At 37,000 miles my ABS and traction control lights came on. I took it to the dealer and they would not do anything because it was out of warranty. I called Chrysler and they told me the same thing. Also my service engine soon light came on and was told it is my EGR valve. My brakes failed and hit my mustang with the van. Still they would do nothing about it.”
