“While driving on the interstate in january 2009 the heater blower fan suddenly went to full blast and full heat. Ii was not able to turn it off or down. After exiting the interstate and parking the mini van, I turned the engine off for a minute and after restarting everything was normal. Later that same morning the heater again went to full blast with no input from me. …”

NHTSA complaint #10277081, filed 2009-07, 66,974 miles

“My husband, myself and our 4 year old daughter were driving our 2005 Chrysler town & country touring mini van, all of a sudden was a loud bang sound. My husband was able to pull the car over and while doing so I looked in the back seat to check on my 4 year old daughter who had her face covered with both arms. We found the sliding door window on the passenger side had exploded and shattered. This has traumatized my 4 year old daughter and thank god she wasn't hurt. Our first thoughts were someone was shooting in our vehicle. …”

NHTSA complaint #10433827, filed 2011-11, 150,000 miles

“It first started by failing to turn on after a few times of trying to turn on the lights on the dash. It then progressed by turning off while driving in the city. It worked for a few months without incident until 2 months ago. After a cold start the lights would come on but after driving it to the store about 3-4 miles away and restarting the car it has failed repeatedly. I believe this to be a serious safety issue. I've had to drive home by manually holding the high beams on to get home. There was almost an accident due to this problem.”

NHTSA complaint #10420189, filed 2011-08, 93,559 miles

“We were on a drive and my husband wanted to look at a lake. We pulled up on the boat ramp to park as no one was there. My husband left the van and went into the store for a map. I was sitting in the front seat with the motor turned off. All of a sudden I heard an explosion and then a subsequent explosion. This was followed by the sound of glass breaking. I turned around and saw that the rear window of my van had shattered. Hundreds of tiny pieces of glass had flown into the rear seat area. My husband returned to the van and we looked at the rear window from the outside. …”

NHTSA complaint #10119890, filed 2005-05, 10,750 miles

“Turned the lights on as it was getting dark while driving and even on high beams it was if headlights were barely on. Also the left front blinker failed although the back blinker did work but flashed extremely fast. Replaced both headlights and still have to use headlights on bright to see as if the lights are on dim. The left front blinker and side light failed within a month of replacement. When replaced again, there was no change. The blinker/side light failed to operate.”
