“During the driving, headlights went out at 55 MPH and I made several attempts to toggle the switch and headlights came on. After a long period with this issue, it gets worse, it takes me at least 2-3 minutes toggling the swtich to turn it on. It is not safe to drive with this issue. Headlight switch is recalled by Chrysler but it doesn't apply on my vehicle.”
NHTSA complaint #10717605, filed 2015-05, 90,000 miles“My headlights go on and off all the time they even flicker sometimes by turning headlight switch on and off they come back on doesn't happen all the time sometimes I'll be driving and headlights will just go off by flipping switch off and on a few times they come back on”
NHTSA complaint #11052688, filed 2017-12, 189,000 miles“The headlights do not illuminate when the headlight switch assembly is turned on. Turning the headlights off/on sometimes restore headlight illumination. This has been getting worse and worse as the time goes on. We called the local Chrysler dealer in nj and were told there were no recalls or issues with our VIN.”
NHTSA complaint #10629476, filed 2014-08, 102,000 miles“I had two Chrysler products, (one minivan and one ram pickup), with the same concern within a matter of weeks. When turning on the left turn signal, the outside right turn signal flashes. I own a service repair shop and checked my identifix data base and see this is a common issue with Chrysler products. The multifunction switch is bad causing this concern.”
NHTSA complaint #10444704, filed 2012-01, 85,000 miles“Went to turn headlights on and they would not turn on. Had this happen once before, but I just turned the switch on and off repeatedly and they finally worked. I tried a few different things this time and nothing worked. They lights still don't turn on. This seems to be a dangerous problem! I looked for a solution online and there seems to be many others with the same problem.”
