“Air bag light turns on when I turn on the van, and it doesn't go off until I turn off the van. I see there was a recall in 2010 for this where the crash sensor cracks in cold weather and moisture gets into the sensor, causing the airbag light to go on and stay on, and also causing the airbags to not inflate when needed. Chrysler says my van isn't on the recall list.”

“Air bag light became illuminated on my 2005 Chrysler town n' country. I found a safety recall on the exact issue, but was told my vehicle did not fit into the range of the recall. The same problem listed on the recall is what happened. The air bag front sensors and wiring corroded. The NHTSA id# is 07v192000. My vehicle has 50,998 miles on it.”

“Upon blacking out while behind the wheel of the 2005 Chrysler Town And Country travelling 40 MPH the vehicle collided with 2(two) parked vehicles on the side of the street. When I came to, I discovered that the vehicle was totaled I was unable to remove myself from the vehicle due to being pinned between the dash and the seat which had slid forward with the vehicle impact, no air bags deployed. I sustained minor injuries, with injuries to the face from hitting the steering wheel that required sutures to close in order to heal correctly.”

NHTSA complaint #11210800, filed 2019-05, 156,689 miles

“The airbag sensor on m y 2005 Chrysler town and county has failed. The dealership reports my particular car is not covered under manufacturer's recall 07v192000 (NHTSA action # ea06003). Since over 270,000vehicles were involved, perhaps it should be expanded to cover additional vehicles. The dealership wants to charge me nearly $300 to correct the air bag sensor light. Thank you for your assistance.”
