“My mechanic diagnosed a faulty angle censor. I was told this runs the airbag. My extended warranty company will not pay to replace it (as it is not a covered part). I am reporting this to trend the problem. Maybe other vehicles of this type have had the same issue. I am concerned for safety and that my airbag may not deploy.”

NHTSA complaint #10682512, filed 2015-02, 104,000 miles

“Chrysler notified me of a recall (recall l25) in summer of 2014. The defect causes my vehicle to shut-off, sometimes at high speeds. It also causes electrical malfunctions on things such as the air bags, radio, the trip-tronic manual shifting system. It has been 9 months, and Chrysler has maintained this entire time that parts are not available to repair this problem. I think this is an unacceptable amount of time for a factory defect to not be corrected. …”

NHTSA complaint #10693754, filed 2015-03, 65,000 miles

“We where driving in florida on vacation on june 12, 2017 when our 2009 Chrysler Town And Country started to have electrical problems . The wipers wouldn't shut off until the wiper motor burned up , the drivers seat wouldn't stop moving forward and back , the windows wouldn't go down , AC went out , the entire dash board light up and all the lights stayed on , the speedometer was dead , the gas gauge was dead , the turn signals didn't work , the dvd players didn't work . We took it to a dealership and they couldn't find anything wrong with it . …”

NHTSA complaint #11096422, filed 2018-05, 75,000 miles

“My vehicle was issued a recall on june 16,2011 dealing with the wireless ignition; however, I did not receive a notice for this specific recall until june 2014. I immediately brought my vehicle to a Chrysler dealer. But after inspecition, they said they did not have the part needed to fix the problem. Since june 2014, I have made several phone calls only to be told that they are still waiting for the part. Since this is a safety issue, what can I do to speed up the process for rectifying my situation?”

NHTSA complaint #10664528, filed 2014-12, 54,000 miles

“The clock spring that supplies power to the air bag is default. I am concerned my airbag will not deploy. My extended warranty company does not cover this part.”
