“I was involved in an accident in which I was hit by a vehicle traveling about 55 MPH and I was stationery sitting at an intersection on a freeway service drive going east and the person hitting me was going south. The impact turned my vehicle south I was waiting for the light to change. It hit me on the front driver side headlight and did $5000 damage. I suffered three fractured ribs and a head and back injury. My airbags failed to deploy.”

NHTSA complaint #11327945, filed 2020-06, 200,000 miles

“When it rains and I'm driving a day or more the airbag light comes on, and stays on until the day after it stops raining. I am affraid they may deploy, given the problem with the possibility of this happening due to existing bad mechenisms. I want this repaired at no cost to me.”

NHTSA complaint #10864299, filed 2016-05, 128,000 miles

“I found out recently that Chrysler had a recall on air bag sensors on the 2006 Chrysler Town And Country. The defect could cause the air to malfunction in an accident. I was never notified of this recall. I contacted Chrysler about it and they said since I am the second owner of the vehicle, I was not contacted. They only contact the first owners.”

NHTSA complaint #10422425, filed 2011-08, 79,000 miles

“Took a trip south, the air bag light came on while I was driving. When I stopped to eat at a restaurant, and started up the engine, the light was off and eventually came back on. The longer I drove thelonger it stayed on. Now it comes on but not that often. Am I in danger?”

NHTSA complaint #10716337, filed 2015-05, 168,000 miles

“Checking recalls and found NHTSA campaign number: 10v008000 involving airbag sensors. Virginia and tennesse and other northern states were listed but not north carolina. Why was that?. If this is a cold climate issue, my vehicle spends time in the mountains of nc which has a climate like northern states. Should I be worried about my air bags functioning when needed if the same make, model, and year in many other states required a recall and repair?”
