“Car shut down while driving. There was no lights or power. It started on a jump, but began smoking. We replaced the battery, but it starts smoking every time you run it and the battery light stays on. I had it towed, as it isn't safe to drive. The mechanic checked the alternator, but it is good the mechanic says it must be the computer and said it would have to be towed to the dealership/”

NHTSA complaint #11361066, filed 2020-09, 140,000 miles

“Apparently Chrysler has a problem with their tipm from years 2011 to 2013. I just had to do a fuel relay bypass on my 2011 Town And Country because they did not tissue a recall for all males and models with this problem. They should not be allowed to refuse because all models most likely used the same tipm.”

NHTSA complaint #11319621, filed 2020-03, 112,000 miles

“Vehicle has plastic 'fob' and not a traditional key. This vehicle intermittently (while stationary) fails to crank the starter. I've been told that this problem is widespread with 2007 - 2011 Chrysler town & country vans. I found no recall. Is there an investigation? Problem has occurred scores of times in past 6 months.”

NHTSA complaint #11241971, filed 2019-08, 115,000 miles

“As stated previously, I had to have it towed because it would not turn on when I put the key in the ignition, mickey's garage told me that when they unplugged the battery and let it sit for little it started up, but they could not fix it, because they said it would do it again, that it should be checked out by a Chrysler dealer. It stop on me in the family dollar parking lot.”

NHTSA complaint #11288076, filed 2019-12, 11,588 miles

“Tipm (totally integrated power module) failure. Symptoms include fuel pump not running, or running irregularly. Vehicle will not start, vehicle stalls soon after starting. This part is common to several models and causes problems across model lines. It has since been redesigned, and the dealership is installing the new module in our vehicle at my expense.”
