“This has happened to us three times in the last three weeks. Shortly after starting the car we traveled less than a mile at about 25 MPH and the engine suddenly turned off causing the power steering and breaks to fail. The van restarted one we put it in park and continued to work fine after that. We were driving in a crowded neighborhood where children play at the time.”

NHTSA complaint #11301257, filed 2020-01, 86,000 miles

“When traveling down the road and coming to a stop the vehicle completely turns off with out warning or indication. We are unable to warn vehicles behind us bc the use of the 4 way hazard lights will not work. The van must be put into park to be restarted. We have had it looked at be mechanics who do not know what the cause is.”

NHTSA complaint #11062590, filed 2018-01, 75,000 miles

“My 2008 town & country burns a lot of oil. There are no leaks or wet spots under the hood or on the ground. I have to add a quart of oil every 100 miles. My research shows that a majority, if not all, of the other owners of this vehicle are experiencing the same issue. Kindly look in to issuing a recall for this problem. Thank you.”

NHTSA complaint #10836809, filed 2016-02, 67,000 miles

“The engine shuts down while the vehicle is in motion. This has happened 3 times at less than 15 MPH on my private road and 1 time at ~30 MPH on a public road through town. I have only owned this vehicle a couple of months and the previous owner purchased the vehicle from a dealer in january only owned the vehicle”

NHTSA complaint #11001415, filed 2017-06, 109,100 miles

“Unexpected engine shutdown while in motion driving resulting in loss of brakes or steering. This has been happening for 5 years with many visits to the dealership and various repairs, none of which has resulted in returning the vehicle to us in a safe state. My wife and I are 79 years of age and have no faith in the vehicle which we purchased new with the extra extended warranty.”
