“Faulty equipment. I have had trouble with the engine belts on my 2005 Caravan. I have had six sets of belts put on the van in a year. The dealer just put another set today. The dealer said all of the four cylinder engines are having the same problem. Why is it that this problem can't be fixed?? They put a new engine in the van in june of 2006 at 13,000 miles and I am still having the same problem.”

“2005 Dodge Caravan. I had an engine light come on and heard a clicking noise in the engine. I had it checked by a non-Dodge dealer and he researched and was told that this engine has had problems with cracked flywheels causing shifting problems. I thought it unusual that a main part such as a fly wheel would crack. I took it to classic Dodge in denton, tx and was told that the flywheel is cracked and needs to be replaced at a cost of $1080.00 have any other reports of this type been sent?”

NHTSA complaint #10312847, filed 2010-02, 77,200 miles

“I have had to replace the airbag sensors or my airbags could have deployed! I have a 2005 Dodge Caravan sxt. The brakes and rotors for this vehicle are bad to they have had to been replaced and this was costly!”

NHTSA complaint #10171048, filed 2006-10, 30,000 miles

“2005 Dodge Caravan 2.4 engine. I have had the vehicle in twice under warranty to repair a squeal of the belt. It sound like the belt is not traveling correctly over the tensioner pulley. Now it has started the same problem again. Seem to do it after putting about 3000 mile on the new belt. (third time).”

NHTSA complaint #10286738, filed 2009-10, 21,000 miles

“My 2005 chrysler minivan with 3.3l engine has a mil on due to faulty EGR system. However, it is not covered by warranty. Shouldn't it be? It is an emission part.”
