“The passenger side sliding door will not unlock using the key or the driver or passenger door's electric unlock button. The manual button on the door also will not unlock the door. I have not be able to open the door for over a month. I have seen suggestions on the web of taking out and then put back the iod fuse, but that did not work.”

NHTSA complaint #10440954, filed 2011-12, 71,000 miles

“Electric door locks quit working. There is only 2 doors that can be unlocked by the key from the outside. Getting children out from the passenger side slider requires climbing through the vehicle to reach the door lock. Also there is no way to lock the doors from the drivers seat to prevent children from accidentally opening the passenger doors without climbing through the vehicle. Pulling the iod fuse and replacing will temporarily reset the door locks.”

NHTSA complaint #10560025, filed 2014-01, 122,881 miles

“Driving 2005 Dodge grand Caravan on highway at posted 55 MPH, bang sound under van, pulled over within 10th of mile, spare tire had come loose, was trapped under van, spare tire appears to never have been used, raised van up with a large rock placed under front wheel, drove up rock and with the decline of highway allowed van to come up high enough then pulled spare tire out, wife burned arm on exhaust pipe when pulling tire out, have not had spare tire placed back under van or inspected as of yet.”

NHTSA complaint #10395830, filed 2011-04, 97,520 miles

“Power door locks stopped working on my 2005 Dodge Caravan sxt. Dealer claims no liability nor does Dodge. This is a safety issue as the vehicle's back door/lift gate will not lock at all.”

NHTSA complaint #10348259, filed 2010-08, 31,000 miles

“The door locks do not work for the sliding doors or the passenger side of the vehicle. We tried to fix this issue by checking the door lock fuse out to make sure it was okay, and it was. The driver's side is the only one that locks. The passenger door lock will not push down and lock when pressed down manually. I feel this is a safety issue and I have seen that others online are having problems with their door locks not working or getting stuck and not unlocking. I don't understand why there is no recall on this issue with the 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan. …”
