“The automatic locks stopped working. They are supposed to automatically lock at 15mph as a safety feature and then do not. It also means I have to enter the car only from driver side and manually lock or unlock all my doors and my trunk door does not lock at all. I consider this a safety issue as I have children as well as I can not secure my car when I am not in it.”

NHTSA complaint #10597779, filed 2014-06, 163,000 miles

“The passenger side sliding door will not unlock using the key or the driver or passenger door's electric unlock button. The manual button on the door also will not unlock the door. I have not be able to open the door for over a month. I have seen suggestions on the web of taking out and then put back the iod fuse, but that did not work.”

NHTSA complaint #10440954, filed 2011-12, 71,000 miles

“I just purchased this van (used) yesterday and this morning the power locks stopped working. They responded neither to the key nor to the switch on the door. They only work manually. Come to find out, through my own research on the internet, I guess this is an serious issue wit this particular year Caravan.”

NHTSA complaint #10474085, filed 2012-09, 81,000 miles

“The power door locks suddenly quit working on my 2005 Caravan. After looking at the internet I discovered that this is a common problem with this van and Dodge knows about it. This issue needs to have a recall issued to make Dodge fix the problem. Not having door locks is very dangerous. Did the internet fix once. Lasted about 1 year.”

NHTSA complaint #10358992, filed 2010-10, 50,000 miles
