NHTSA complaint #10893439, filed 2016-08, 97,284 miles“My car motor blew out of no where in the middle of me driving it. It was being well maintained up until this happened too. Anything that could of caused this?”
NHTSA complaint #11129213, filed 2018-09, 7 miles“Car will shut off going 45 MPH, at a stop light (0 MPH) or when crossing traffic intersections for examples (at most going 10 or 15 MPH). I will attempt to restart and the car will start up, stall up and then shut off again - when this happens, I lose power steering. I have to switch gears from drive to park and then turn the car off and then on again in hopes it will start. As you're driving, you can feel when the car is about to cut off, it throttles ahead a bit and revs, then the car beeps and turns off, while the gear is in drive and turning my wheel does nothing. …”
NHTSA complaint #11163845, filed 2018-12, 194,500 miles“My car's engine stalls without warning while driving. I had problems with this when I bought the car within the same week from a used car dealer. It now affects my headlights by making them flash on and off while driving. The car has been in and out of the shop for the past year and no one can seem to find the issue. There is a past time device installed which interfered with the security system. The dealership took out the security system and shortly thereafter the engine stalls began. Engine stalls occur while driving or stopped at traffic lights. It happens randomly but not often. …”
NHTSA complaint #11047597, filed 2017-11, 98,000 miles“While driving on the highway going 60mph in the center lane during busy traffic and it was dark, the vehicle just shut completely off. I also had a my 14 month baby in the car. There was lost of power, steering was lost. I had to shift it in neutral and glide to the shoulder lane almost being hit by a truck. I turned the key off and tried to restart the car, after a few attempts the car started, when I shifted it in drive and proceeded to try and get back on the road it shut off again. The engine & electrical light was on. …”
