“The sliding door sensor did not trigger and prevent the door from closing. It closed on my sons hand and his fingers were stuck in the door until I manually opened it. This was the sliding door on the driver side. Vehicle was parked and turned off.”

NHTSA complaint #11093746, filed 2018-05, 140,000 miles

“Sliding door on the drivers side opens at random times. There are times when I am not even near the vehicle and will come out of a store and my sliding door is wide open, or I will be in the house and come out hours after locking the car and the door is wide open.”

NHTSA complaint #10822702, filed 2016-01, 85,000 miles

“The side sliding doors do not function properly when pushing button to make them close. They will close then reopen continuously. The doors have tried to close when my son was getting in the car. Thank goodness I was standing there to grab the door, because it would of caught his leg and hurt him. Something needs to be done with these doors, because I am not the only one that has had these problems.”

NHTSA complaint #10336051, filed 2010-06, 43,000 miles

“I have a 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan sxt with 28,612 miles (mostly interstate). On november 23, 2008 I was going east on interstate 70. A few miles from hagerstown, maryland the car's front end started to shake. I called the Dodge dealership in hagerstown. After having the car towed to the dealership the mechanic determined that the car's right front axle had snapped. They did not have the part in stock and had to order it. …”

NHTSA complaint #10250961, filed 2008-12, 28,612 miles

“Passenger side rear sliding door locks and will not unlock with key fob or unlock button on both front doors. It also will not open with a pull on the inside door handle. You have to manually unlock it on that door before it will open. I think this would cause a issue if I ever need to get my kids out in a hurry! Also this van has 30000 miles on it and it uses approximately 1-1/2 quart of oil every 1000 miles. Its not showing any sighs of leaking anywhere in the engine or under the van and not leaving any puddles anywhere. …”
