“My 2015 Dodge Journey has a ticking noise when I start my vehicle. And now the check engine light is on. When the truck is in park or stopped it feels like it is fluttering or putting along . The ticking noise you hear once the vehicle is started and it continues the entire time while driving .”
NHTSA complaint #11394663, filed 2021-02, 91,118 miles“My Journey only has 59000k miles and it started with a knock noise when I start about a month ago. Mechanic tells me the lifters are bad and they would need to open up the part of the engine where the lifters are located, I understand there are two different locations for the lifters, the front is pretty easy to change but the second location not so much. All will cost me about $1500.00 to repair. Is there a recall?”
NHTSA complaint #11378382, filed 2020-12, 59,000 miles“My 2015 Dodge Journey fwd started making a whining noise out of nowhere and then all of a sudden would not go over 35 MPH. I tried to move in my driveway and its stuck in 1st gear. I am too scared to drive it and it is my only means of transportation. Is there a recall on it?”
NHTSA complaint #11372838, filed 2020-11, 96,000 miles“2015 Dodge Journey purchased new car wont start cant move gear shifter to nuteral or any other gear seems to be a bad problem with them I've checked google for solutions and apparently this is a real problem for this car as many complaints as I've read I've tryed everything I can to solve this problem”
NHTSA complaint #11161904, filed 2018-12, 37,200 miles“I was driving my car out of a drive through and when I got to where I needed to turn, my engine just shut off. Car started rolling electrical was still on (lights, etc;) but the steering wheel would not turn at all. I had to put it in park, turn it off and then turn it back on again. After that, it worked again. What if this happens to me going 80 on the interstate? I have children to think about.”
