“When turning any direction or hitting speeds of 75 mph +, vehicle makes loud noise and starts shaking. Took it to an independent mechanic and ran a diagnostic, they said the rear differential is going out which isn't normal for vehicles with this mileage and said it was a manufacturer defect. When I took the vehicle to a Ford dealership, the tech laughed and said there's a one month wait for parts and 15 other Broncos in front of me dealing with the same issue.”
NHTSA complaint #11761898, filed 2026-09“My 2022 Bronco Sport suffered a physical underhood engine fire due to Recall 25S76 / Campaign 25V467. Ford Corporate is refusing to provide a loaner vehicle or alternative transportation, leaving me stranded while the vehicle sits unrepairable at a Ford dealership awaiting a final hardware remedy that does not yet exist. We have also been denied the Ford Buy Back program even though we COULDNT and were BLOCKED to set a maintenance appointment for said recall to attempt to prevent this from happening because they do not have a permanent fix. …”
NHTSA complaint #11766911, filed 2026-09“Fuel system 1. I don't know what failed because the dealership didn't do anything to repair it. It is available for inspection upon request 2. Intensely strong fuel odor at the front of the car, inside and out. Strong exhaust odor at the back of the car. It is not safe to operate a car if it smells like fuel. 3. Dealership had it for 3 weeks and said there is nothing wrong. Now they are ignoring me. I am taking it to an independent mechanic. 4. Ford said they inspected it but they didn;t because there's all kinds of issues with this car. 5. No warnings. Suspension 1. …”
NHTSA complaint #11724824, filed 2026-03“The hood latch and cabling mechanism continues to be a problem for Bronco Sport owners. I have dealt with the cabling detaching from the housing unit four times. This causes safety concerns because the hood cannot be opened when this issue presents. Many owners have this issue.”
NHTSA complaint #11680623, filed 2025-08“I was driving on the interstate and heard a very loud noise. The glass moon completely shattered without warning. Pieces of the shattered glass were falling off the vehicle and inside. The temperature that day was warm and a storm was coming in. The barometer pressure was changing as the storm was approaching.”
