“I bought brand new a 2008 Ford EDGE I have had so much trouble with it and it has been in shop so many times and they still can't figure it out. From transmission to hot temp, bearings in tire being melted with under 60,000 miles!!!! I have repaired brake booster twice!!!”
NHTSA complaint #10620708, filed 2014-08, 50,000 miles“My 2008 Ford EDGE has tire pressure monitors which indicates my tire pressure is dangerously low when I change rims and tires to my snow tires twice a year. When I purchased the tires from les schwab tires I was assured that they where able to reset this system if necessary. Apparently this is not the case and the system must be reset by a Ford service. Last year Ford reset the system which takes about one minute, when I brought my car in for 5000 mile service.. …”

The contact stated while driving at 55 MPH, the contact stated that the vehicle was driven over a small bump in the road, the vehicle independently steered into the other lane. The contact stated that two full sets of tires were replaced within a month. In addition, the contact stated that the tires were fractured down to the wire. The contact stated that someone informed the contact that sparks were noticed coming from the tires. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. …”
