“I was driving in an alley way and something sounded like it broke and or came loose from the passenger side front suspension area. Which looks like it was a half shaft or steering component which in turn caused me to loose steering control and hit a curb and do further damage to my vehicle . Seeing if there have been any issues or reports with half shafts or steering components breaking or coming loose on suspension on 2014 Ford EDGE's”

NHTSA complaint #11079873, filed 2018-03, 60,000 miles

“I was driving my car down a side street when all of a sudden the dashboard flashed low engine oil pressure and I lost control of the steering, brakes, and gas. The car essentially just stalled out and just started rolling until I hit the emergency brake. I had the car towed to the dealership and after looking at it for two days they couldn't replicate the error and couldn't find anything wrong with the car. The computer registered no errors and I was told there was nothing they could do.”

NHTSA complaint #10723522, filed 2015-06, 4,400 miles

“On april 3, 2018, my wife was driving our 2014 Ford EDGE. As she was entering a curve at 35 MPH, the 'low oil pressure light came on' and she immediately lost the capability to easily turn the steering wheel, and the car began to slow down rapidly. Fortunately, she was not on a freeway or she could have been seriously injured or killed. She realized that even though the engine was still running, the gas pedal would not work. I called planet Ford in houston where we purchased the car and I routinely have the car maintained. Anthony, the quick lane manager, told me to bring the car in. …”

NHTSA complaint #11091301, filed 2018-05, 43,000 miles

“Power transfer unit leaking after 80,000 miles, had the vehicle serviced to replace ptu and new ptu is also leaking. Other driving issues have occurred since including losing power steer capability on while driving at low speeds on uneven roads, unable to accurately recreate the issue as it is very intermittent. All check engine lights, wrench, and advancetrac dashboard warnings flash when electrical and propulsion systems malfunction.”

NHTSA complaint #11374594, filed 2020-11, 92,000 miles

“Power steering went out while driving on the street. Approx 35 MPH. Vehicle had 20,596 miles on it. Location southern california where the car is not exposed to cold weather. Similar to 15v250000.”

NHTSA complaint #11183494, filed 2019-03, 20,590 miles
