Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“The vehicle's message center reported multiple system failures while driving 70 MPH on a two lane Montana highway. The steering assist failure caused the wheel to jerk left/right before locking up. It took all the strength I had to keep the vehicle from exiting the roadway. If someone else was driving they would not have likely been as fortunate. The vehicle is now parked inside while I wait to hear from Ford. The local dealer won't look at the truck until the middle of next month. The truck has about 1500 miles.”

NHTSA complaint #11550318, filed 2023-10

“Vehicle dashboard(cluster) and Sync screen continuously goes out while vehicle is in motion. Preventing safe driving, seeing side and back of vehicle, other cars, etc Electric truck systems stop functioning properly, mileage range drops dramatically in extreme temperatures. Frunk opens randomly”

NHTSA complaint #11586471, filed 2024-05
