2017: “My truck has the Death Wobble . It has been worked on for the incident It happened again yesterday at least 4 times within 30 minutes We turned around and came are parked the truck. Am going to talk to the Dealer where I Purchase the vehicle and want some answers and to fix this major problem with my Ford Superduty 250 2017”
NHTSA complaint #11584358, filed 2024-04, 107,235 miles2019: “Vehicle has a death wobble when I hid small pot holes in the road while travelling at around 70-75 MPH. Seems to be getting worse. Today it was so severe I almost crashed into a concrete barrier. I let off the accelerator, braced both feet and it was all I could do to hold on to the steering wheel. The whole truck shook violently. Until I got it to stop.”
NHTSA complaint #11403960, filed 2021-03, 27,500 miles2015: “When I hit a bump at highway speeds and the steering wheel is at a slight angle the vehicle starts shaking violently and is hard to control. Goes away after slowing down but nearly hit the vehicle next to me. Took it to a mechanic and he said this is a common problem and there's really no permanent fix to it. He replaced my steering damper but still does it.”
