“The cruise control will not disengage at times when hitting the brake, causing the vehicle to continue to accelerate when a stop or slow down is required. I reported this to the dealer at approx 38,000 miles and was informed it was not are call defect. I know this has been an issue on earlier Ford trucks. This is a repetitive issue.”

The contact was braking from approximately 20-30 MPH for a traffic stop when the accelerator pedal became stuck in the open throttle position by the floor mat. The vehicle did not stop and proceeded through an intersection as the contact attempted to remove the floor mat while the vehicle was still in motion. The contact was able to dislodge the floor mat, which was trapped under the brake and accelerator pedals, and the vehicle resumed normal operation. …”
