“2006 Ford f250 hd diesel has violent shaking or death wobble after hitting some bump in the road. Took to Ford and had it checked, aligned, new tires, and steering damper, isn't any better. I'd like to know what I'm suppose to do, a friend of ours had a wreck and was killed in his truck, which was just like ours?”
NHTSA complaint #10303033, filed 2010-01, 88,348 miles“I have a 2006 f250 superduty that has numerous issues. Latest is wheel shake after hitting a bump, power steering box has over 3 of steering wheel play, and ball joint just had to be replaced. Not to mention diesel engine issues and excessive air noise. I am being told this is common problems in Ford diesels do to engine weight.”
NHTSA complaint #10265652, filed 2009-04, 137,000 miles“I have on several occasions had my f250 super duty 6.0 diesel shimmy very violently. These occurrences happened at speeds of 50 to 65 MPH. On one occasion on the interstate I actually pulled over thinking I had a blowout. Now at 75000 miles, it is starting to shimmy on rough pavement even at slower speeds of 35 to 45 MPH.”

Afraid one day one of us will actually wreck with one of our kids in the vehicle with us and serious injury occurs. Just wondering what it could be.”
NHTSA complaint #10493144, filed 2013-01, 70,000 miles“When driving when you go over a bump ,rxr crossing or man hole cover the front end of the vehicle severely shakes to the point you have to jam on the brakes or wreck. I replaced the steering stabilizer as instructed to but the outcome has not changed. I have called Ford numerous times,both the dealer and Ford manufacturer. They both act like they have never heard of this severe problem.”
