“Vehicle has a death wobble when I hid small pot holes in the road while travelling at around 70-75 MPH. Seems to be getting worse. Today it was so severe I almost crashed into a concrete barrier. I let off the accelerator, braced both feet and it was all I could do to hold on to the steering wheel. The whole truck shook violently. Until I got it to stop.”

NHTSA complaint #11403960, filed 2021-03, 27,500 miles

“Approximately 5 times in the last 3 months I have experienced death wabble with my f250, in the most recent incident, I almost lost control of the vehicle. After hitting a bump at highway speed, I experienced an oscillation in the front wheels, causing violent shaking, that would not stop until I stopped the truck. Ford told me there was nothing wrong with the truck.”

NHTSA complaint #11414996, filed 2021-05, 23,000 miles

“Violent shaking of steering wheel when hitting bumps at highway speed. Must slow to below 45 for it to stop. This is referred to as death wobble. It happened within 13000 of owning my new truck. It has happened while pulling a camper with my family of four. We were almost rear ended by a semi because I had to slam on the brakes on the interstate.”

NHTSA complaint #11308702, filed 2020-02, 18,000 miles

“Experienced violent shaking of the vehicle on highway. This has happened 3 times at speeds over 50 MPH. We believe this is what is commonly referred to as 'death wobble'. This is a very scary event. I am so surprised that the NHTSA has not forced Ford to do a recall on this issue. There are thousands of complaints on this issue.”

NHTSA complaint #11404750, filed 2021-03, 24,000 miles

“I own a 2019 Ford f-250 king ranch. My truck has less than 15k miles on it. While traveling on the highway at approximately 65 MPH I hit a small bump on the freeway which caused my steering wheel to shake violently (known as the death wobble. I was forced to immediately slow down and pull over to the shoulder before I could regain control over my vehicle.”
