2015 Ford F-250 SD Steering Problems

“When I hit a bump at highway speeds and the steering wheel is at a slight angle the vehicle starts shaking violently and is hard to control. Goes away after slowing down but nearly hit the vehicle next to me. Took it to a mechanic and he said this is a common problem and there's really no permanent fix to it. He replaced my steering damper but still does it.”

“While driving over 60mph and hit a bump the truck goes into a violent front end wobble causing the whole truck to vibrate. It continues until the truck is slowed to approximately 30mph . It has happened many times., I took it to the Ford dealership they tell me I need to replace tie rod,drag line and bar, track bar and steering shock. The truck only has 38,608 miles.”

“When going 70 MPH on the highway you hit a bump and the truck goes into a death wobble. Apparently is a common problem with Ford super duty trucks.my truck only has 65000 miles on it. Took to a mechanic and said that he sees it all the time and it costs about $1500.00 to fix. My brothers newer truck which is identical except for year model has a recall for this issue.”

“My truck is experiencing the death wobble it starts at speeds as slow as 20mph and gets very bad and very hard to control starting at 60mph. The truck shakes violently and feels like it is about to shake apart on any highway or street. It does it in turns and while driving straight. I have a video of it happening but this site wont allow me to upload it.”

“My truck has gone into what they call a death wobble when driving at highway speeds going over a bridge expansion joints. This has happened a few times. Front end shakes violently causing me to drive off the highway on to the berm. I cut off the car next to my during one of these occurrences almost hitting his car. The latest occurrence was 6/17/19.”
