“Approximately 5 times in the last 3 months I have experienced death wabble with my f250, in the most recent incident, I almost lost control of the vehicle. After hitting a bump at highway speed, I experienced an oscillation in the front wheels, causing violent shaking, that would not stop until I stopped the truck. Ford told me there was nothing wrong with the truck.”

NHTSA complaint #11414996, filed 2021-05, 23,000 miles

“Experienced violent shaking of the vehicle on highway. This has happened 3 times at speeds over 50 MPH. We believe this is what is commonly referred to as 'death wobble'. This is a very scary event. I am so surprised that the NHTSA has not forced Ford to do a recall on this issue. There are thousands of complaints on this issue.”

NHTSA complaint #11404750, filed 2021-03, 24,000 miles

“While accelerating on a major highway. I hit a bump or groove and my truck started to violently shake. Cars around me slowed down and backed away from my truck and at the same time I slowed the vehicle down. Once I hit about 30 MPH it stopped and I pulled off to the side. Scary thing is, I had my entire family in the vehicle and I almost lost control.”

NHTSA complaint #11362926, filed 2020-10, 32,100 miles

“At highway speeds, came over a rough patch, and the front end began to shake violently as though I had a flat tire. Steering locked up, and I pulled over to see what the issue was. Found nothing wrong. This was the second time this has occurred, the previous instance, the shaking stopped once I reduced speed, this time it continued until I came to a stop.”

NHTSA complaint #11298085, filed 2020-01, 31,000 miles

“I was driving 70 MPH down the highway. I went over an area that had a patch in the road and as soon as I hit that bump my truck felt like I was gonna loose control. I almost went into another lane but thankfully I had both hands on the steering wheel. The truck just vibrated so hard. I have noticed that it tends to do that on bumps.”
