“Front shakes violently at times on my 2005 Ford f-250. Feels like the whole front end of the truck is shaking apart. The only way I have found to stop it is to drastically slow down my truck, which is a huge safety hazard when other vehicles are following behind me. I sometimes have to slow from 55 MPH to 35 MPH. Updated 07/08/10 updated 07/09/10.”

NHTSA complaint #10341408, filed 2010-07, 126,823 miles

“I currently own a Ford f 250 pickup truck, when I am driving 40 to 50 MPH my truck starts to shack violently. I have read many forums on this and many people are having the same problem . Why has Ford not recalled my truck to fix this problem when they know there is a problem? Must somebody get hurt or worse killed due to fords neglect of this problem?”

NHTSA complaint #10303457, filed 2010-01, 50,000 miles

“I was driving down a main st, going about 35 MPH...when I hit a bump the truck would shake violently and the steering wheel was also shaking violently , I had it diagnosed as the drag link ball joint and an upper ball joint both on the passenger side front...I got a letter in the mail from Ford just yesterday about the shimmy/shaking issue, the letter states that it is due to tire pressure in which I believe to be very wrong!!”

NHTSA complaint #10557215, filed 2013-12, 111,000 miles

“I was driving on I-64 doing about 65-70mph and crossed over bridge/rough spot in road when it threw the truck into a bad shimmy. It has happened at least 10 times in the past year. I took the truck to a Ford dealer and was told that it needed a new camber kit that would change by 1 degree. I had to pay for repairs. The problem still exist.”

NHTSA complaint #10253109, filed 2008-12, 36,200 miles

“Ford f-250 superduty- while driving at 55mph or higher, and you hit a small pothole or dip in the road, this vehicle goes into a violent shimmy. The vehicle is uncontrollable and extremely dangerous. I won't let any of my family members ride in the truck with me and cringe at the thoughts of having to drive it on the interstate! It has shaken me off the road and into the ditch or median several times.”
