“Takata recall I just bought this car in 03-08-19 I notice the car wheels, transmission shakes its like it didn't want to go when you hit the gas. I thought maybe its out of liniment but something is not right. In motion in city and highway, turning. I have not taken to dealer ship I saw that they are some recall on this car. If so what next do I?”
NHTSA complaint #11231623, filed 2019-07, 31,224 miles“The vehicle continually surges when accelerating from a stop. Vehicle has been taken in repeatedly and I am told that they update software on a module. Am told it is a known issue but because it is in litigation they can't replace transmission. I want a safe car. I am afraid to let my grandchildren ride in it. Date below for event date is most recent.”
NHTSA complaint #11287399, filed 2019-12, 3,840 miles“When driving this Focus, upon initial acceleration, this car shutters badly. Seems to shutter more on hot days, but this occurs all year round. After doing research, found that this is a major issue with this transmission. Plan on calling dealership to see if this issue can be resolved. I do not want this to become a safety issue for my family.”
NHTSA complaint #11241588, filed 2019-08, 56,000 miles“I was driving my car as normal and pulled in to park. I reversed and tried to go forward but the car wouldn't budge. I took my car in about a month a go to get an oil change and the problem looked at and I was told to just come in on my next service and get the problem taken care of. Now the problem has turned into my car not being able to move forward”
NHTSA complaint #11192776, filed 2019-03, 75,500 miles“When I am driving my car is fine, however when I come to a complete stop then try to accelerate, my car's transmission seems to stick... Then it causes my car to shudder and shake. This issue also occurs during accelerating at lower speeds (10-30mph) and can occur during acceleration when a complete stop has not been made.”
