“The wrench light came up on my car. It says it's the throttle control transmission. The car gave no sign or warning about this car throttle. The code coming up is p2111. I believe there was a investigation going on with my situation a few years ago. Is this a recall or something that can be fixed because of a recall?”

NHTSA complaint #11111512, filed 2018-07, 136,546 miles

“On a few separate occasions, while either sitting in traffic at a light or driving my 2011 Ford Fusion has stalled in the middle of traffic. It hasn't happened for a few months and there is no rhyme or reason to when it will happen. When the stalling occurs the car literally shuts down in the middle of traffic and I have to restart the car to proceed.”

NHTSA complaint #10499962, filed 2013-02, 19,800 miles

“While driving, vehicle suddenly lost power. Rpms dropped and vehicle slowed to only a few mile per hour. Vehicle would not accelerate. Vehicle had to be towed to dealership, and I was informed it was a throttle body issue. I was informed this is a common issue, and there might be a recall. If this had occurred on the freeway, it could has been disastrous.”
